Werum IT Appoints Sales VP for American Ops

Shawn Opatka has been appointed vice president sales and marketing for Werum IT Solutions’ American operation, Werum IT Solutions America. Mr. Opatka will direct a team of sales and marketing managers for the company’s MES solutions. He succeeds Jan-Henrik Dieckert, who is moving to Werum’s global headquarters in Lüneburg, Germany, where he will assume the new role of senior head of sales EMEA.
 
Mr. Opatka has more than 15 years of sales experience in the IT sector of the life science and process industries. Mr. Opatka joins the company from Emerson Process Management, where he worked for more than eight years in various management positions, most recently as global sales director MES. In this role, he was responsible for global sales and marketing of Emerson Process Management’s life science solutions, including the Syncade product platform.
